RAZZLE DAZZLE: Pixar, Potter And More Fake Fun

As for real trailers...

CARS
This one is heartbreaking. After an unbelievable streak of good movies CARS looks bad. The trailer is 2 1/2 minutes of not funny, and the animation is about 10 years behind the times. This looks like a parody of Disney films, with lines like, "You're in Radiator Springs, the cutest little town in Carburetor County," and introductions to new pals "Luigi, Sarge, Fillmore and Ramone." Pixar has mastered entertaing children of all ages, but this one is aimed squarely at kids and hicks.

RATING: A very sad 3 out of 10

HARRY POTTER & THE GOBLET OF FIRE: 2ND INT'L TRAILER
My favorite GOBLET OF FIRE trailer yet. The story is rich, the effects are solid, the look and feel is epic. (Love those shots from the Quidditch World Cup.) Plus, the humor is dialed down from the Domestic Trailer (no more dribbling Harry) and the danger feels more real.
THE MOMENT THAT STOLE MY MONEY: Who am I kidding, I bought tickets to this one years ago.
