The trailer tries so hard to present CASANOVA as a witty romp. From the daffy music to the overdone sound effects when Casanova hits the tree or the door is closed on his face. It all reeks of yet another tossed off SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE rip off. (Wow, his great dueling partner is actually (gasp) a woman.)
